Hi!  I am Roger.  Totally new to forums in general and to the sport of the Long Shot.  Just recieved my Savage 10 fcp-k in .308. Will mount a Millet Buck Gold 6-25-56 snug in Burris Signature Zee rings and atop an EGW rail, 20 moa, mount.

As I mentioned to Sean my very long term, maybe impossible, goal is to shoot 1 moa at a 1000 yds.  May be a stretch with my equipment and to be determined skill, especially as I am looking for the perfect factory load to do the deed.

Anyway, glad to be here.  Hope to learn a lot.  Don't have much to contribute at this point except lessons and lumps, yet to be learned or earned.

Sam:

Pleased to meet you.  The Savage has an earned reputation for being one of the best, out of the box.  The 10 fcp that I have has the new Accustock bedding system.  Looks to be as good or better than pillar or glass bedding.

I am going to break in the barrel using the David Tubb "Final Finish" system.  Similar to the Fire Lapping method.  Take a look.  http://www.davidtubb.com/ff_loaded_ammo.html
